Dear Dr. Fred,

On behalf of the faculty and students of the Odyssey School, many thanks for a full day of wisdom and science. You did indeed exemplify the positive character traits you recognized in the other scientists detail in your book To the Young Scientist. Your service to young people by providing up-to-date information on current scientific data is a model for other would-be science writers. Our students were inspired that a science career can be a varied and life-long endeavor combining different intellectual talents.

We all wish to extend our best wishes to you as you continue your work. The students know how to contact you through email, and will continue to periodically send possible ideas for upcoming book topics. In addition, Odyssey sends its happiest thoughts as you prepare to welcome your new grandchildren into the world.

With warmest regards,

Sara Tompkins,
Odyssey Librarian
